Food, storytelling, and community

Tender Table celebrates Black and Brown community by connecting and honoring our identities, traditions, joy, resilience, and fight for collective liberation through storytelling and food.

We believe that BIPOC community members of all gender identities, abilities, and class backgrounds in Maine should have access to nature-based activities and skills for our necessary survival and joy. Often times nature-based activities involve expensive gear/equipment or transportation that isn't readily available or accessible for everyone. We are grateful that the Outdoor Equity Fund radically shifts this access for our community members in Maine.

Being in nature connects us to our sense of belonging in the world.

We are so excited to radically shift the narrative of access to nature for BIPOC community members in Maine!
